Wii remote sounds

Mullet says (4th July 2008):
Hey guys, this is the audio engineer from outer box experience, I saw on our comments that u had a problem with wiimote sounds. If u don’t have it fixed yet then all you have to do is realise that the wiimote only outputs at 8bit. Try mastering all sounds for the wiimote at this sample rate and if it sounds good on your audio editor then it will sound good on the wiimote, hope this helps, your game looks class tbh

Wiimote

fasahatsalim says (3rd July 2008):
Hi guys, Fas from Sherpa Reynolds here. The game is looking great, i'm liking the art style and am quite looking forward to having a go at protoplay :). I was interested in finding out how you guys managed to hook up the wiimote to your pc. We have got it working through a bluetooth dongle running through bluesoleil, however it only seems to work with one specific version of bluesoleil, all other version including the latest one crash our pc. And we cant really get a license for the working version cause bluesoleil wont let us :P I know you guys will probably have alot more functionality than we would really require but i'm just interested to know what your using to connect the wiimote and what sort of functionality you have got out of it. Cheers.

Hey

Grumlaut says (24th June 2008):
We don't have a Dev Kit here either, we're also just using bluetooth to get things going. I see what you mean about using sound in ProtoPlay, probably a good idea for me to just drop my dream of using the speaker :-)

Ello :D

BlueSkies says (24th June 2008):
That's looking really nice. Good stuff guys. I posted a reply on our blog and as Shawhir said there, we don't have dev kits up in Dundee. Luckily we are only using it as a pointer, which pulls the main character through the level and interacts with objects in the world (but not to the extent of your game). Best of Luck!

Hey Graham

Shawhir says (24th June 2008):
Yo man, Mark here. I assume you have the Wii Dev Kit. We were not lucky enough to get one, yet we are working it through bluetooth; - but on a friendly note may I suggest something else if you are pitching this for protoplay in particular. It MAY be too loud for anyone to hear anything from your wiimote there. Check up on one of your mentors about it man :D And a few votes for yah too! Later
