Dare Protoplay 2008!
Come Play Video Games for free: Bigger and back for it's second year, Dare Protoplay is a video games extravaganza supported by Channel 4 and BAFTA, where you can play and judge new games designed by the stars of the future. Free event for all ages agaes. Last year's visitors said: "Splendid fun for all the family. What a great way to spend a day". "Good range of games, lots of new ideas". "It was educational as well as fun". Mainly came for a day out for the family. I found it very interesting myself". Free entry, 10 - 12 August, 10am - 6pm. As if 17 new games weren’t enough for you, we’ve also got Scottish bands 'The Hazey Janes' and 'Big Big Sound' playing from 6 – 8pm at ProtoPlay. The event is free but to see the bands you must get one of our special gig wristbands, available only from the door at Cromdale Hall (EICC) on the night of each gig – first come first served, so get along early to avoid disappointment! Junior and Public Judges required to review and judge 2008 games!
Junior Judges (age 6-13)
Last year, junior judges were involved to help review the Dare 2007 games in Dare ProtoPlay at Edinburgh. Their input was very valuable. Some of them were even interviewed by journalists. This year we are inviting
junior judges again to take part in Dare ProtoPlay in Edinburgh. Places are limited, so if you are interested, please register with us below and we will inform you of the details later.
Public Judges
Please register with us as public judges to help review the Dare 2008 games and come to Dare Protoplay to vote. When the students start working, we will send you updates.
