Dare 2009 line-up and dreamer winners announced

We are very pleased to announce the 14 teams who will take part in Dare this summer, starting Monday 8th June. They are: Bubblegum Games (Radiant Jade),CottonBall Physics (Hoe Down Show Down),Derail Entertainment (Break a Leg),Digital Colony (Pollen),Five Armed Bandits (Quick as Thieves),Inertia Interactive (Bungee Ball), Noobeez (Colour Scheme),NPR3 (Splats),PixelPirates (Colour Coded),The Butterflyers (Gravity's Hammer),Thunderbirds (Rock Rebellion),Troublemaker (Tom's odd dreamworld), Gentlemen of Fortune (Quick as Thieves)and Virtual Horizon (Hunger Strike).
Students taking part this year are from the following institutions in the UK, Irish Republic, Canada, Norway, India and China:
Abertay University, Algoma University, University for the Creative Arts, Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Image College of Arts, Animation and Technology (Chennai), University of Glamorgan, Norwegian School of Information Technology, Peking University, University of Portsmouth, University of Skovde, University of Ulster Magee and the University of Westminster.

The winning 'dreamer' ideas (game ideas being developed by the 'do-er community' which originated from the 'dreamer community') are: Quick As Thieves (being developed by 2 teams), Hunger Strike, Rock Rebellion, Hoe Down Show Down and Gravity's Hammer. The originators of these winning dreamer ideas will each win £500, an invitation to to the Dare Awards ceremony to receive their cash prize,a single return UK flight and 3 night's accommodation in Edinburgh to take part in Dare ProtoPlay (terms and conditions apply).
