Abnormal Creations at Dare 2010
End of Week: 1
12th June 2010
Right its the end of week 1 and so far things seem to be going really well.
This first week was intended primarily for the purpose of planning and designing in more detail our game.
After mostly finishing the planning and having a laugh during the first few days, we each decided to progress into trying to create certain things for the project in order to make sure that each of our techniques and contributions to the game, work and run in the Unity 3D software.
Progress and improvements:
Audio tech managed to get his software working with mine (team leader/Ryan) so now us programmers dont have to do much sound wise..yey for us.
Artists/modellers managed to design level layouts, enemy characters and even managed to create working animated models to use, which is handy because now I wont have to use as many place holders and know their file formats work etc.
Programmers...ok this is my main field for this project (i seem to have others) anyway, we are doing rather well and have managed to start work on programming the abilities of our main character.
Leader(captains log) so far things are going well, I've managed to get on with my programming work while at the same time filling the role of making sure everyone's work, operated correctly inside Unity, and fixing it so that it does if it doesn't. E.g The first modelled enemy. Have also decided to do personal recordings for the use of the blog, so will be hopefully uploading the first one soon.
