End of Week 4 - Bungee Ball is dead!
3rd July 2009
After revisions to our design that have seen the firing mechanisms be sacrificed to the gods of game development we have changed our game name…
Bungee Ball is dead, long live Ballistic!
This week has seen us hit our first major hurdle, which has meant that we have had to find another way of getting our level into our game.
After a week of hard graft on the part of Mitch and Alan and some valuable advice from mentors Chris (Realtime Worlds) and Rosh (SEGA), we have a solution (we hope :-S) and are working to get our level up and running by the middle of next week. Thanks also go out to Brian Baglow from Denki and Brian Lawson from Realtime for their advice on all things design.
On the design side, we have our second level, Bootcamp. It’s an assault course themed level overseen by our second character, General Mayhem, which Ben has been working on, creating the bespoke level props and Dan has started work on the General himself.
The sound has started to come together, I’ve got some initial sound effects sourced and some studio time booked for next week while the game’s heads up display and menus are in progress as well.
So for this week no video, but here are some more pics to keep you happy.
