Michelle Watt opens the Dare 2008 Awards
The Dare to be Digital Awards were held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) in the Pentland Suite on Wednesday 13th August. Hosted by TV presenter Michelle Watt, it premiered the film of the students development and experiences across the 5 different host centres throughout the 10 weeks and awarded the prizes.
The three main prizes carried equal status and (in no particular order) were awarded to:
- Blue Skies for Origamee
- Ctrl_D for Vege Me
- DarkMatter Designs for Boro Toro
The ProtoPlay Audience Award went to Contrived for their game Grav.
The winners of the three main prizes will represent the short list for next year's BAFTA Ones to Watch Award, which will take place in London in March 2009.
