Try Ragnarawk by Voodoo Boogy

Ragnarawk is a rhythmic RPG adventure game set in a fantasy world based around the many genres of music, developed during Dare 2007 by Voodoo Boogy. The player takes control of Rift: a young, aspiring guitar player who through a twist of fate has found himself swept up in an epic battle of good vs. evil. Wielding a mystical guitar Rift must battle and defeat an evil that is slowly consuming the land. With the teachings of Stratos, an ancient Rock God and the support of “Save Girl” – Rift’s one and only fan – can you defeat the source of the evil and save the day? If this sounds like your sort of game, you can play it here for free.

These are the games that are demo'd at the showcase and just uploaded straight from there. It's not really that the other OS'es aren't taken into account. The games just have to work on PC's on the day as they are the chosen hardware. Regarding tech support - there's no official support for these games but some users might be able to help you in the forum.....

As a holder of an M.Sc in Computer and IT from Abertay (!) I am disappointed, to say the least, to see that the University still does not take into account the fact that RISC OS, Mac OS and Linux systems are as significant as MicroSoft and release versions for these operating systems. sincerely, J. Most commercial tends to = most popular. Popular things tend to be fashionable things. It was in fashion. There is a bit more to it than guitar hero though. Plus it was a lot of fun!

It seems to me that they only won "most commercial potential" at dare last year because it was basically Guitar Hero, and last year was Guitar Hero's year...way cash in guys.

I played this at the awards ceremony in 2007. I love games like this - I'm not a serious gamer but I just love stuff that is so accessible, easy to pick up and so much fun. Well done on the award folks!
