The team behind this were Niclas Kjellin, Torfi Gunnarsson, Iwan Roberts, Tony Horne and Gordon Brown.

Midget Wars

ScreenshotMidgets attacking the earth? Scary stuff! Not afraid just yet? Well just take a peek at this joint second prize winning game and you will be!

Throughout the levels, team members were encouraged to play tactically and make use of the limited weapons and interactive scenery they found. Midget Wars was developed for Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming, with the single player game playing second fiddle to the main event. MidgetSoft were Matthew Hanlon, Kieran Nee, Carl Latimer, Ben Fisher and Michael Morton.

ScreenshotThe Fallen won joint second prize with their 2D shooting game produced for the Game Boy Advance platform. The game takes the established old school game design and pure gameplay of classic shooting games such a R-Type, Robotron and Smash TV and brings them into the 21 st century with a more mature design style and advanced game graphics. 

The Fallen were Kirk Johnston, Thomas Gordon, Jonathan Byrne, Mike Sudworth and Andrew Saldanha.

TPLD (Team Play Learning Dynamics)

 

Infiniteams

Infiniteams was a multi player computer game utilising the psychology of team dynamics.  The game promoted team skills and leadership characteristics using game based learning.  Since taking part in Dare, TPLD have grown significantly and now employ 22 staff.  TPLD were born out of the passion to change the paradigm of learning.  Their aim is to make learning more accessible, appealing and motivating. 

Although TPLD now have many staff, the team who originally produced the Dare game were Matt Seeney, Laz Allen, Tom Naylor, Glenn Murphy and Eelco Batterink.
